For the 7th consecutive month, Companhia Docas do Rio de Janeiro (CDRJ) and the companies leasing the terminals of the Port of Rio de Janeiro - Triunfo Logística, ICTSI Rio, Pier Mauá, Rio de Janeiro Wheat Terminal (TTRJ) and Multiterminais - delivered basic food baskets to 105 vulnerable families in the Caju community, in the neighborhood surrounding the port. The social action took place on the morning of Wednesday (28).
The initiative of the Port Authority, which mobilized the other companies, started in April and will continue until December, with the objective of minimizing the socioeconomic impacts of the pandemic. Each month, one of the partner companies is responsible for purchasing the baskets and, this time, it was in charge of Multiterminais.
The basic baskets include food products, cleaning materials and personal hygiene items in quantities estimated for a family of four. The benefited families were mapped from the register at the Reference and Social Service Center (CRAS). The next delivery is scheduled for November 25th.
