MultiRio Container Terminal

Rio de Janeiro (RJ)

In 1998, MultiRio won the tender and became the lessee of the Container Terminal II at the Port of Rio de Janeiro for a period of 25 years, renewable for another 25 years.

In 2011, MultiRio renewed in advance the lease contract for Container Terminal II for another 25 years, thus guaranteeing the concession of the area until the year 2048. In return, MultiRio committed to make investments of approximately R$ 200,000,000, needed to expand the Terminal's capacity.

MultiRio serves several shipowners, importers and exporters, providing our customers with one of the best levels of service among Brazilian ports.

MultiRio handles cargo from shipping companies specialized in container such as: MSC, Hapag Lloyd, ONE, Hamburg Sud, Maersk, ZIM, Log-In, among other.

It also handles shipowners specializing in project cargo and Ro-Ro such as: BBC, Intermarine, Grimaldi, K-Line, Glovis, Wallenius and others.

The MultiRio Terminal is a key part of Grupo Multiterminals' 360 degree logistics process. A process covers all stages of the supply chain, from the receipt of imported parts and equipment through the port, to the return of the final product for export, passing through all stages of support to the production and distribution chain.
