Multiterminais operates three dry ports in strategic locations (Rio de Janeiro and Resende in the state of Rio de Janeiro, and Juiz de Fora in the state of Minas Gerais).

A dry port is an excellent logistics tool given the added efficiency it offers both importers and exporters.  The benefits of using a dry port include:

Strategic inventory maintenance of imported goods – both raw materials and finished products ready to distribute can be located near the importer’s facilities.

Inventory Maintenance - without compromising working capital, inventory can remain for up to 120 days in a dry port, given that the merchandise can be stocked with several tribute exemptions like: II, IPI, and ICMS.

Option of maintaining foreign goods, with suspension of import duties, for up to one (1) year (renewable up to two years).

Industrial assembly and packaging with suspension of import taxes.

Regular Customs Regime:

Normal merchandise import. The maximum stated period for the procedural import of merchandise in a dry port is 120 days.

Suspensive Customs Regime:

The Suspensive Regime allows commerce professionals to leverage advantages in the commercialization and industrialization of imported goods for the internal and external markets, making use of the regime’s benefits.

Below are some of the regimes offered:

 Customs Warehouse
Customs Transit Declaration – Declaração de Trânsito Aduaneiro (DTA)
 Temporary Admission
 Drawback
Certified Bonded Deposit – Depósito Alfandegado Certificado (DAC)
 Special Bonded Deposit
