VRG Multimodal Multiterminais

01.09.2024

The adoption of a multimodal transport system, involving rail and road integration, is a solution that significantly reduces greenhouse gas emissions.

The Multimodal VRGE (Verified Reduction of Greenhouse Gas Emissions) developed by Multiterminais, through methodologies/calculation processes validated by ABNT, performs the calculation of GHG (Green House Gas) emissions by modal and issues the certificate, including requirements for eligibility of greenhouse gas reductions. emissions, transparency of information, with potential reductions of more than 50% on operations that use only road transport - between the Ports of Rio de Janeiro and Santos bound for the Multiterminal Multimodal Terminal, including final delivery to the customer.

Being able to prove in a way validated by ABNT the benefit from the reduction in Greenhouse Gas emission rates per container transported in multimodal meets the requirements of compliance with ESG metrics.

We are proud of this achievement, a big step for the Multiterminais group, its stakeholders and the entire ESG agenda.
