In 1998, MultiCar placed the winning bid at the Rio de Janeiro Stock Exchange, acquiring the right to operate the Vehicles Terminal in the Port of Rio de Janeiro, adjacent to the Container Terminal (MultiRio), for 25 years, renewable for a further period of 25 years.

MultiCar provides “soft” PDI (pre-delivery inspection) services for imported vehicles thereby allowing for their distribution directly to dealers. It also provides flexibility for vehicle receipt and delivery, in a 24 hours/ 7 days per week operation, managed by a high performance data system, allowing immediate access to all vehicles.

MultiCar achieved the highest rating among its peers worldwide at several total quality inspections performed by the vehicle manufacturers which regularly use the RO-RO Terminal.
